Should we follow Fad diets to lose weight?

Everybody wants to lose weight to become their best version and they are ready to even pay lots of money and spend significant time into it. There are several diet plans that are structured to quickly lose weight and one of the categories is called Fad diet. Fad diets have their own good and bad consequences. This kind of diet requires you to survive in a specific group of food for a certain time that you can follow for a fast weight loss. Let’s know more about fad diets. 

Why follow a Fad diet?

These Fad diets have certain qualities in common. These diets are planned based on consuming no fast-food whether you are following a fully vegan diet, low-carb diet, or plant-based diet. 

  • Sticking to a calorie-free or carb-free diet can make you lose a few extra pounds but you will soon start feeling exhausted emotionally, physically as well as psychologically. 
  • You can follow this diet for a week or a two or maybe more than that if you’ve decided to lose weight but you cannot follow it for longer. This is the reason, why you should go with the fad diet only when you are encouraged to chase a strict regime.

Eating a balanced diet 

On the other hand, when you eat a balanced diet for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, you get the motivation to continue following the routine and start to lose weight gradually. 

  • It is always better to stop going hard on yourself and eat fewer calories than not eating at all. Consult a dietician for a proper diet schedule that will help you lose weight without leaving your body suffering from malnourishment.  
  • Fill your meals with portion-controlled food and take the right sizes of nutrition that your body needs by eliminating poor diet.
